Creative Spelling

Tonight I helped my 8 year old son study his spelling words with a fun activity. We got some "kids" shaving cream at the dollar store and spread some in a thin layer on a big cookie sheet. I called out the words and he spelled them in the cream with his finger. He loved it!!! After he spelled each word we used the offset spatula to smooth it out and "wipe the slate clean". Next time he wants to use mud!
